How is that November went by even faster than October?! Maybe it was all the anticipation of seeing grandma and grandpa and Uncle Muck and Aunt Kimbo for Thanksgiving, or maybe it was the excitement of playing in the leaves that fell off the trees. Perhaps is was the shorter days, with our nights spent cuddling in front of the fire. Whatever it was, November was an adventure.
October was all about the color orange and one big day, the best kids holiday, Halloween. The girls asked everyday if it was Halloween and if it was time to go Trick or Treating. Lots of practice went into how to trick or treat, complete with outfits from our costume station. At school, songs were sung about five little pumpkins sitting on the gate. At home, we decorated the porch with spider webs and a giant spider we found at Target. Nothing too spooky since the little one is deathly afraid of spiders and bugs. Once the big day arrived, they were so excited to get dressed up as a pink butterfly princess and shark and head into town and ask for candy. It was a great day, especially seeing their faces light up in excitement over people putting candy in their buckets.
Here it is, October, and I'm finally getting through the summer's photos. Some days were loud and crazy, others were a bit quieter, but we enjoyed popsicles, bubbles, and the sprinkler almost every day. The highlight of the month was traveling to LA to see "uncle muck" get married. Seeing grandma and grandpa, plus meeting their cousins for the first time was so much fun.
