On a special day, we were lucky to be able to watch the moon pass in front of the sun. Being in Seattle, we were close to totality, but not completely, and it was so cool to watch the light change. The temperature dropped. The light became almost thick. The shadows and shapes danced around. Our neighbors were kind enough to share their glasses with us so we could look directly at the eclipse and not burn our retinas. I'm not sure if the girls will remember this day, but I will.
